DescriptionDong Ho Kim's work with perspective is mesmerizing. And the level of detail and slight touches of surreality he often adds to his pieces are such a joy to discover. His art pulls you in and entices you to pour over every detail.I requested a commission from Dong Ho Kim through Superani with a simple concept, Iron Man. This is what he came up with. So many things I love about this piece. The perspective gives the impression that Iron Man is leaping off the page. The countless small touches that come together to make it feel alive. Overall, it just has an incredibly unique slice of life quality to it. Sheer brilliance. Endless thanks to Superani for arranging and to Dong Ho Kim for the unbelievably fast turnaround. Brilliantly depicts life in one of Asia's most densely populated cities. They can't buiuld high rises fast enough it seems. Maybe if they had the quickness of Dong Ho Kim, things would go faster. He uses Iron Man to take you into this unique environment and makes you feel you are there.
