Not sure how much of Wolverine here is really Byrne. The face is pure Cockrum. Byrne said that he drew Wolverine with the mask on. In fact, if you look closely enough, you'll see the pencil lines of Wolverine's mask under his nose.

Also, this is not the first time that Byrne drew Wolverine. Marvel Team Up #54 came out before this.
