DescriptionIf I can get a commission from an artist I love, my first pick is Black Cat. If I can get two characters, it's Black Cat and Spider-Man.With Fornes, my pick would have been Batman, no hesitation. But then fate intervened. While attempting to lock down a spot on his commission list, a really nice Spider-Man swinging through the city appeared on his Instagram. Instantly, I reverted back to my regular commission muses (while also requesting a nice city scene). The second I saw this piece, I was stunned. Not only did he deliver a gorgeous city, characters leaping into action, incredible framing to give the piece focus, but he also threw in a single Doc Ock tentacle! The reason for the havoc below and the purpose for our heroes coming to the rescue. And, if that wasn't enough, he also decided to digitally colour the piece himself! Wow. After staring at it for so long on his instagram, it's a bit surreal to finally hold it in my hands. Social/Sharing |

Incredible piece! The framing of the heros, the chaotic city street.
The magical pieces always leave you asking "what happens next"? This is one of those magical pieces.
Congratulations

Awesome! An NY grittiness that you just love...Spidey, BC, and Ock are just part of the sublime tapestry! Congrats!

Fornes goes above and beyond! The street is the main character in this piece! From the fluid river of big city traffic to the tall buildings forming a canyon, it is a playground for our superheroes to traipse about to solve problems.

It's a terrific commission. I love that the heroes are shown swinging into action but that we don't get to see the focus of the destruction being caused off camera by Doc Ock. Congrats, Eric!

Stunning! A glorious commission of Spider-Man and Black Cat in the big city by Jorge Fornes! I love how small Fornes kept our two heroes, allowing them to be surrounded by huge skyscrapers. And then I notice the car that's seemingly flipping over for no reason...which is when I notice one tentacle from Doc Ock! That's why the car is flipping over. I love how even in this one giant scene Fornes allowsm the eye to move, discovering new things, one at a time. Great visual storytelling! Splendid commission, congrats!

Saw the limited edition poster, then found this (via Steve M). Fantastic piece, with a special bonus that it became a beautiful color poster. Congrats!
