DescriptionDuring the transition from the Bronze to Copper Age, DC experimented with non-Comics Code "for mature readers" stories of the sort you'd find in Vertigo titles a few years later, or Marvel's Epic titles around the same time. This story doesn't contain much of The Shadow; it's mainly an extended origin story for his foe Atomic Child. It takes place in 1946, with Nazis planning to use the emerging technology of television to ensnare Americans in a cult founded by a Hubbard-like pulp fiction writer. Page 31 contains an instruction to reorder the second tier, so the original art is underneath stats. Likewise panel 6 on page 32 is a mirror image stat of the underlying original, probably so avoid violating the "180 degree rule" of cinematography. Social/Sharing |
