DescriptionThanksgiving is all about family, right? And is there another band of heroes that better exemplifies the theme of modern day ‘found family’ than the Guardians of the Galaxy? (Besides CAF, I mean… :) ) Not for my money. Along with some fun Skottie Young depictions of our heroes here, we also get a minion of Rocket’s nemesis Blackjack O’Hare and a couple of Rocket’s ex-girlfriends in the top panel…. See? Family!And the only thing that might warm the heart more than the assembled Guardians belting out their official battle anthem, is, of course, Rocket’s beautiful outpouring of genuine emotion that immediately follows it. Hilarious cartooning by the always amazing Skottie Young. I’m positively over the moon (-SO- thrilled) that such a cool example of Skottie’s sequential storytelling chops (and from his Rocket run, no less) eventually found its way to me (if you know what I mean, Michael 😜). Thanks again, Michael, and Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! I hope you all have a safe and happy holiday with whatever fine folks you’re gathering with this year (and that the bird you enjoy is nicer than the one Rocket shares with the rest of his crew here)! The middle panel is very indicative of Thanksgiving, family fun! But my favourite part is the creative way Young had Rocket flip the bird! Happy Turkey Day to you, my friend!

Rocket being Rocket :) Fun page and man and I get why it gives you the feelies. That middle panel gives you a jolt! Congrats - I know you were happy to get this one in house. And happy Thanksgiving to you, too!

Wow! What an terrific Rocket Raccoon page from Scottie Young! I've always liked the character of Rocket Raccoon, but he really seems to come to life in Scottie Young's hands. This is a fantastic page, starting with the arrival of the Guardians' spaceship to devastation. That's followed by my favorite scene--The drinking scene with the whole team singing together and bonding together! The look on Rocket's face in this scene is priceless. You can really feel the connection between the Guardains here. And then the page winds up with Rocket slipping away with one last Fist in the air of solidarity with the team. Fantastic page, congrats!

It was this run that helped kick my deep love for Rocket into high gear. vividly remember reading this page for the first time. congrats on acquriing this!

Skottie really knows how to bring the fun and make the reader smile with his books. He was such a great fit for this series and this is a perfect example of him delivering great comics.
