It's 2004, and I see goggles and gears -- must be steampunk! My daughter was sporting similar goggles in those days; I miss them.

Another wonderful piece by Scott Fischer, this one appearing in Spectrum 12. Title is his; but if you want to be pedantic (and I'm always available), shouldn't that be "la femme pilote"?
