DescriptionSorry I missed the last two weeks. I was in Japan for a few days. My intention was to post but couldn't find the time. So lets get back to it.Continuing to post more art from my Original Comic Art Unboxing with Ruben DaCollector. This week we have a super terrific page from Action Comics by John Byrne. I loved this version of Action Comics, where it was Superman teaming up with another DC character or characters. I remember the cover to this issue, Superman and Hawkman and Hawkwoman, so cool I had to buy it. Younger me was always a sucker for multiple heroes on a cover. Look at that first panel! Great image of Hawkman in space helping to stop a Thanagarian invasion and a great look at Hawkwoman in the bottom panels. I was surprised and happy that I won this page on eBay. Great Byrne storytelling with bold panels boating that classic Byrne anatomy. The first panel captures your attention right away! The bottom tier has a great story flow to go with Byrne's own scripted dialogue!

There may not be any Superman images on this Action Comics page, but as soon as I saw it for auction, I thought that for anyone who is both a Hawkman and John Byrne fan, this is an absolutely amazing page to own!

Byrne beautifully captures the majesty of flying through space. Too bad Hawkman had to go ruin it by being such a jerk in the final panel.

I thought so too until I remebered that Hawkman was fighting other Thanagarians. Apparently all Thanagarians look alike, even to Hawkwoman. 😂
