Great blood red against the gray tones reminds me of the Warren Vampirella Spanish artists OA look. It's just a finish Sandoval likes to make this original complete rather than leave it for the colorist or any color holds.

Extremely striking (sorry, I couldn't help myself), but it's also true. Hard-hitting action and that Amazing red make for a heart-pounding sequence.
