I have always wanted a Murphy Anderson Hawkman page since i started collecting and reading comics. There are so many great artists that worked on Hawkman, and Anderson is one of the best.

This looks more like Murphy Anderson's at than Milgrom's. Hawkman is in so many panels which is such a bonus. Those late 70s Showcase issues were such fun, so it is an added treat.

I am not slighting Al Milgrom, who did some incredible covers throughout the years.

August 1978.At the last minute Hawkman stops Kanjar Ro and saves Hyathis’s life, for which she allows him and his friends to leave the planet and not return, rather than killing him as a traitor.

You can say it's later Anderson in this late 70's revival of Hawkman, but it's still the Anderson finish on the character he's done for decades. The layout and pacing by Milgrom are very dynamic and cutting edge.

Anderson and Kubert are definitely 2 of the best Hawkman artists ever!
