Description

Figured I'd save my last CAF update of 2024 for a cover from one of my favorite books of 2024. Transformers has been such a great book and Jorge Corona's work on it gets better with each issue. When the star aligned and I was able to pick up Jorge's cover to Transformers 16 featuring Bruticus, I jumped at the opportunity.

Im terrible at picking favorites because I love so much about what Jorge is doing on this book. That said, as far as his covers go, this one for sure is right up there! What a beautiful piece! You can just feel the immense power of Bruticus here. Love the power lines there for scale. You can practically hear the snapping of trees like toothpicks & the rustling of falling branches & leaves as well as the wail of distant sirens. Its just that damn impactful. Huge congrats again on this one Ken!

Congrats on a stunning cover and a superb image of the character. Corona's art style combined with the smoke creates this gritty texture that really draws your eye to it and makes for an awesome image.

Love those shorter, almost hash marks, that Corona uses for a lot of his rendering. Provides a grittiness to the scenes as well as the characters...flat out WORKS for Bruticus! Awesome last-of-the-year add, man, congrats, and happy new year!
