DescriptionIn the final Inferno issue of New Mutants, Magik wrestles with who she is, was, and wants to be. Colossus makes an appearance, much to Magik's suprise, doing battle with her main Limbo nemesis, S'ym. The muties play double duty, trying to protect all the sacrifice babies, and getting Illyana to see her humanity.Josh has been doing some of the best X art in years, IMO, so I was excited to get his take on a classic story. He truly captured the essence of this old Inferno story. Him and his wife, Martha, are delightful if you ever get a chance to interact with them. 11x17. SDCC 2024. Social/Sharing |

Mr Cassara was definitely feeling his oats while working on this one. The textures, the composition, the sheer motion - incredible!

Yay!!! Great to see this on the CAF site, it's a fantastic commission piece by a favorite artist. Congrats on this beauty! Cassara really knows how to capture an entire scene in a big splashy way.

Big Boi Colossus! He needs that giant title belt as he went body builder thick in the late 80's and early 90's. Cassara does a monster mash of a commission and makes sure no one is spared of destruction!

Josh's renderings of Colossus & S'ym are masterful, while the Empire State Building looming in the background is an incredible way to frame the scene.

Oh man, the first issue of The Uncanny X-Men that I ever bought with my own money was #231 with Colossus fighting S'ym on the cover, so this hits my nostalgia spot dead-on! Fantastic work from Cassara!

I loves me some Inferno! Top 3 X arc for me and it's RAD seeing commissions taking us back to it! Let alone from Josh, and let alone this good. Love the sheen rendering on Colossus here and he really put just as much into the backgrounds and surroundings, too. Poor S'ym :) Congrats!
