Description

Another nice children's book illustration I've never posted before. It was realized by Italian painter Giuseppe Pin, aka Giu Pin (1930-2013) and published as a double page spread in a reduced version of Jonathan Swift's masterwork released in 1963.

Gulliver's Travels was always on the reading list at school and the effects they used in movies for the size differences were some of the earliest special effects kids saw. This is a such a great colorful storybook image with the scientists looking in books, to the stars, and each other.

Wow! What an amazing illustration from Giuseppe Pin! A beautiful demonstration of Giuseppe's skills as an illutratior and a painter. I love this painting with all its bright colors and elaborate detailing. It must be even more amazing to hold in your hands. I've always loved children's book illustrations for their fanciful approach to storytelling. This really evokes a strong memory of being a kid and pouring through books that told fantastic stories. Stunning pick-up, congrats!
