Description

This beautifully painted page from Batman Houdini really showcases Mark Chiarello's brilliant art. From the moody watercolors to the graphic design, I was sold on this page. I especially love the art deco windows, which Chiarello could have easily phoned in with some regular mullions but didn't. I'm so excited to finally have a rare interior fully painted page by Mark.

I think Mark's gone primarily digital for interiors and covers, so it was special for me to get a page from this series done traditionally.

Very atmospheric with the watercolors having a realism to the textures! The castle manor setting brings to mind literary gothic tales!
