Description

The Dark Knight Returns: The Golden Child was my first exposure to Rafael Grampa's work, and I immediately fell in love. As a huge Dark Knight and Carrie Kelley fan, I especially loved his design for the new Batwoman outfit. Although the story can be convoluted and difficult, Grampa's art is dynamic and iconic. Huge thanks to my buddy, Yo Kuri for parting with this page. I'm so grateful to be able to add this to my collection.

Grampa's take is so unique! It's very daring to go against the grain in a fandom that expects the same every month. His brush work wins them over to embellish the action and images to even bigger Bat effect.

Grampa...such a unique voice! Love his unique illustration and line work as well as the killer top to bottom storytelling. Congrats!
