DescriptionI had been seeing some cool movie based commissions on CAF, and I got this idea for Manix. BTiLC is one of my favorite 80’s movies, and luckily Manix grew up on it as well. My request was pretty broad, but he got everything I could’ve wanted into the piece! I’m always delighted by his takes, and have to limit my commissions to cons he’s at, otherwise it’d never end!A3. Hey! That's great! Yeah, I mean I love his style for sure but you truly end up getting something special when you let him take a subject matter and just run with it. He has been doing a lot of cover recreations, and while they look great, i personally love seeing these kinds of pieces so much more! Truly let's him showcase his talents! There is just so much to stare at on this piece, it's a beautiful visual feast!

Wow! Love how he uniquely got all of those different characters, moments, and images into one piece like this! And with that Manix twist. One of his best IMO and that's saying something. Congrats!

I rewatched the film recently and Kurt Russell has never looked buffer than he does in this commisssion.

As beautiful as any tribute to the movie there has been. I'd take a Mondo print of this over anyone else's take! Manix's vivid colors and confident lines has the energy of a John Carpenter production!

This is so ridiculously amazing, Manix encapsulated everything great about this masterpiece film into one image. I could look at this all day. Congrats on an amazing piece.

Manix strikes again! What can't that Manix guy do? Look at this fabulous tribute to Big Trouble in Little China! Manix really nailed the essence of the movie and included Jack Burton, Wang Chi and most importantly, the ancient sorcerer David Lo Pan! And, of course, Manix does all of that in the classic Manix style--Plus he uses brighter colors than a technicolor movie! Killer pick-up, congrats!
