Description"You Can't Beat Nature!" But when they get to the hotel room, we think the groom is going to get the nature beat outta him! Beyond the amusing gag portrayed here, the actual rendering is absolutely stunning, with the intricate details of Torchy's dress, and the sultry pout of her mouth expertly fashioned by Fox, one of the top "good girl" artists ever to put pen to paper. Torchy was originally created by Bill Ward in 1944 for a military base newspaper while Ward was serving in the Armed Forces during World War II. This Quality Comics series only had six issues, so needless to say, Torchy covers are extremely rare and only a couple are known to still exist.Social/Sharing |
