DescriptionGulp. When I started collecting strip art, I accepted the fact that there were certain grails that I would likely never obtain a Raymond Flash Gordon Sunday was one of them. Fast forward 25 years, and here we are. Another collecting dream realized.Love the Rocket. Love the brushwork in the center panel. Love the images of Flash. Love the Jungle Jim Topper. Love the classic Raymond signature. Up on the wall it goes. Large art on board (19.5 x 24.25), in great condition. Its a happy collecting day!! Social/Sharing |

My goodness! There's something so out-of-reach about a Flash Sunday... I don't want to know what you did for this!

Wow! That you get both strips is amazing enough, but those particular six Flash Gordon panels are a fantastic action sequence. Huge congrats!

It's classic Alex Raymond adventure and for the Flash Gordon section, it's got fantastical futuristic sleek streamline design that packs a punch!

Phenomenal Flash Gordon/Jungle Jim Sunday! A pair of fabulous strips drawn by the amazing Alex Raymond. There really aren't enough superlatives in the dictionary to use describing Raymond's artwork. It is beautifully composed, powerfully penciled and superbly inked. These two strips are so well done that few artists today could match them. I especially love the second panel of the Flash Gordon, in which you can see Raymond's sublime brushwork, and the fifth panel, with the Rocket Ship taking off. Both panels are fantastic examples of Raymond's work, which artists study for technique even today. Amazing pick-up, congratulations!
