Description

"Guadalcanal" by Paul S. Newman. April-June 1964.

Gripping story of the battle itself rather than tying everythign to a central character.

A very action filled top panel!

Are New Zealand girls really that friendly to soldiers?

Thanks, Lee. I think they were during World War II.

Missed opportunity by the Japs from the air, but looks like they still have some sort of ground position/advantage if they can snipe from a distance. Looking forward to what happens next!

Once again, Glanzman did a fabulous job with the establishing shot. It really gives you the sense of being up there looking backwards from the cockpit of the lead plane!
