DescriptionOn the left hand page, Vlad Dracula escorts his guests through a recreation of his military campaigns: “The ‘fruits’ I left you to rot are Turkish prisoners, thieves, prostitutes, rebellious subjects... no one who deserved to live.” (Brand) “Vance, for heaven's sake! That's not in 'Dracula.'” “But it's part of the story, the real story of Vlad the Impaler. Don't you like it, my friend?” “It's too intense.” “Nonsense. This is not a theme park for families with children, Brand. If you listen to me, the right customers will pay good money.” “What customers? Maniacs and serial killers? You and I need to have a serious talk, Vance.” “Not now. We're about to enter the dungeons.” Vance had promised that Dracula Park would be a mix of vampire lore and historical accuracy, but either way it's full of gore. Meanwhile on the right hand page, Harlan and Tesla have found a way into the castle from the caves beneath: “Hm, a secret passage behind a grandfather clock. Stuff of a Gothic romance novel. Come on, my sweet. The way is clear.” “Strange place, a kind of ancestral gallery.” “I don't remember anything like it either. They must have redone the furniture. After all, the castle was rather bare, when that filth Vlatna hosted those poor children there. Do you recognize any of these ugly mugs?” “I would say not... I guess they are fantasy portraits, painted for the occasion.” The portrait in the last panel depicts the same woman that Sylvaine saw staring back from the mirror on page 64. Social/Sharing |

2 great pages! I'm really enjoying the tremendous amount of details in the portraits on pg 95. Art within art!

Beautiful long hallway shot! This park should offer a fast pass for people who want to exit faster!
