Hellboy & the BPRD Ghost Ships of Labrador 2 pg.18

I really enjoy Laurence’s storytelling. He has done some pages before with these wonderful long vertical panels that have really grabbed my attention. Here, I like how the first panel opens from the bottom of the page and the last panel opens at the top of the page. It adds to Hellboy’s movement as he rises up to the surface of the water. Also, the black between the panels really adds to the claustrophobic nature of the ocean’s depth. Canada! Ghost ships! Whales! It’s another fantastic Hellboy tale. Thanks for checking it out.
