DescriptionJust as there is usually a preference between people in terms of comic books (“Marvel or DC”) or soft drinks (“Coke or Pepsi”), so it is with humor magazines. It was either Mad or Cracked. For me, I was always a Cracked kid. I really loved the John Severin covers and his interiors so I really wanted to own some original artwork from issues I read as a kid (mid-late 80’s). While I didn’t actually own this particular issue that this art was first appeared, I do remember it. This was probably due to the fact that Cracked would reprint many of its material in collections later on. While not high on my priority list, it is a one-page self-contained gag and the price was pretty good so I decided to add it to my collection.Social/Sharing |

Very cool! And funny too. Congrats!
Thanks! I always love the Cracked jokes with a twisted and macabre sense of humor.

You are totally write about the Cracked or MAD split. My friends all had that rivalry going, but I always like both. Each had things that were a lot of fun. Like your page here. Totally classic bit of Cracked!
Love the paste-up title.

Yeah, I tried to get into Mad by buying a couple of issues but it just felt weird. I just gravitated to Cracked's humor and art style. I just loved Cracked's Monster Party issues so much! I even remember when Don Martin switched over to work for Cracked for a while...

I would have scored higher! Cracked had the broader comedy and easier to read gags and stories. However, this guy can only get the silver as the gold medal has to go to Brad Pitt.

Brad's had good form, but I think this guy's landing was more solid.

If you record your attempt at a Wai-walk, the next Jackass movie will have a centerpiece scene!
