Description



J. G. Jones got his first real start as a comic book 
artist when he was hired by Jim Shooter to work on
Defiant Comics. When Defiant went away, he followed 
Shooter over to Broadway Comics, where “Fatale” was 
created.
 
A design firm dictated the appearance of Fatale’s first
few issues, according to Mr. Shooter’s website, placing
a black border and standard type on the covers. By issue
#4, the creative team had more control on what was being
produced. By issue #5, they were able to publish the
cover they wanted comic buyers to see.
 
Frank McLaughlin did the inks over Jones’ pencils for
the interior pages, but Jones’ did his own inks on the
covers. This is 11” x 17” on art board.
