Description

“Toward the end of Broadway, Fatale was really starting
to take off,” Jim Shooter writes on his website. “…We felt
we had turned the corner, and that Broadway Comics was
going to break out and rise up.” Instead, the company’s
new owner went belly-up and Broadway went down with it.

This happened so quickly, the creative team was caught off-guard. They’d already started on an origin issue for Fatale #0 and were planning a continuation of the mainseries with issue #7. This is the cover for the unpublished issue #7.

This is 11” x 17” on artboard.

Broadway is where Jones first caught the attention of the audience at the time as all the popular indies had to have a bad girl title. He would prove to be much more. Probably because he was spurred on by the end of the imprint and could impress with storytelling.
