Description

Bernard did this for me at the 2007 New York Comic-Con. This one has really grown on me. At very first glance, I was just a little bit disappointed that the pose wasn't terribly dramatic.

Now, I think that this was an unsophisticated reaction; it reads as "subtle." The image is filled with tension and the figure is extremely well-constructed. I'm continually amazed that professional artists can just sit down at a con and draw like this without needing to consult photos or anatomical reference. It's more like an illustration, not a "sketch." But then I suppose that's why folks like Bernard are properly addressed as Professional artists. You know...those people whose entire artistic statement doesnt consist of the phrase "I have a scanner and a recent issue of 'Maxim'."

That said...er, the tail?

Well, no worries. Let's just say that this is a sketch of Tigra before the issue of "West Coast Avengers" when she got the powerup and the tail.
