incredible page from an all-time classic issue and run on Swamp Thing!
Never has a swamp monster looked so good. Congrats on such a fine example. A page and a cover in one.
An amazing, definitive piece--congratulations!
Wow, nice!
That is a monster page
Totleben/Bissette really went all out on this gorgeous end page.
And you've got a great Alan Moore one-liner!
Absolutely freaking incredible page. Wow! Congrats!!
Wow what an acquisition! Major congrats on acqiring such an amazing piece!
Great piece with Bissette and Totleben at their best! With Moore's direction, this title took off around these early issues of their run. Very ominous and foreboding image to set up the next issue clash!
An unforgettable page from an unforgettable run! That left panel is pure Swamp Thing perfection, with Bissette and Totleben at their absolute best, capturing the haunting beauty and elemental power that make this character so special. It’s no wonder this image has stuck with fans for so long. Just a breathtaking piece of comic book history!
Swampy Goodness!
You could not ask for anything more from a Swamp Thing page.
Such a great page. Mossy beauty.
This is the best and most iconic Swamp Thing panel page I have ever seen. That's simply outstanding! Hats off on winning that auction!
It's a beauty!
That is one of the best Bissette and Totleben pages, period. It's technically a panel page but hits like a splash page.
Drawn so detailed it holds up when enlarged for cover usage! This one is beautiful.
Masterpiece!
Easily one of the most memorable pages from the early part of the run. Just awesome.
This is now in the ultimate Alan Moore collection. Congrats!
Wow! An all time page, congrats
Amazing!
I'd buy that for a dollar!
This is simply a Wow piece you can show to non-comic folk - end page, TPB cover, and could serve as a model sheet too!
Just splendid!
One of the best pages from this run. A real beauty and showstopper.
Phenomenal Swamp Thing splash page by Stephen Bissette and John Totleben! Love this splash with the tight closeup of Swamp Thing's face in the first panel and his bacl in the second. Love all the detailed vines and growths and leaves and twigs that make up his body. It's so interesting that Bissette and Totleben go all out to make his vegetative reality so apparent. Some artists smooth all that out and make him look more animal-like, but Bisette and Totleben make sure you know...He's a plant-based being. Stunning pick-up, congrats!
Absolute perfection - swamp thing never looked better. Congrats!
A stunner from one of the best runs in sequential art! Moore, Bisette and Totleben hitting on all cylinders! Congrats and thanks for sharing!
Killer page!
Stunner! You have a very intriguing collection
I did not take to Bissette and Totleben right away, when they burst on the scene. It took some time for me to appreciate their brilliance, but brilliance it is. This page is a glorious example. You are so lucky to own this gem.
As good as it gets on the Swamp Thing front! Wow!
Wow, this one's a knockout!
It would be enough to have perhaps the best page of the Moore/Bissette-Totleben collaboration, but then they went and made it a cover, too!
Fantstic SB Page...met Stephen years ago...very nice guy
