Description

This is a wonderful original pen & ink illustration intended for Frost's 1913 book, "Carlo", which was very much an early graphic novel. I say intended, because the piece that ran is ever so slightly different than this one. But this piece is both signed by Frost and inscribed to cartoonist H.T. Webster. This is the second image in the book, where the grumpy Patrick brings Carlo around to the house.
