Great time period of the title as they headed towards the Civil War storyline. Thsi was when Anthony repped him and covers sold so fast, they never made it to his website.

Congrats on an AWESOME cover! Deodato seems to rarely pencil his covers let alone pencils and inks his covers. Great find!

BOOM! Congrats, James, on an absolute barn-burner of a cover, from a great issue and run! I love how the piece incorporates the patented Deodato harsh shadows, even though it feels like a "high noon" piece (in terms of both tone and time of day). Imagine opening your door on Halloween and seeing this assemblage... You'd be handing over the full-size Snicker bars, pronto. SOOOOOPER cool grab, James! Congrats on scooping up this beauty! (and happy halloween! :) )

Love the grit and anger here, especially from the low and close perspective! I really liked this series, especially the Sentry storyline. This makes for a fantastic, in your face cover.

Great use of shadows here by Deodato. I think this was around when he was doing very (very) tight pencils, so cool to see inked versions of his work from this time. Congrats!

Deodato's art has changed so much over the years but each time he makes a shift, it is absolutely gorgeous. I love the heavy shadowing here - such a deep mood. Congrats!!
