11x14" matted production cel featuring Colossus for the "Danger Room" sequence from the pilot episode. Titled "Pryde Of The X-Men," it originally aired Sept. 16, 1989 and was intended to launch the new Stan Lee series. However, it never materialized, and Marvel Productions would have to go back to the drawing board for 1992's X-Men animates series. In this scene at the 5:32 mark, Colossus bursts through a stone wall. The character images are hand-painted on cel, paired w/matching print bkg. The setup bears a Marvel seal at bottom right and has a Stabur Corporation sticker on back of shrinkwrap. Matted to 7.5x9.5"Lt. aging. Cel is in Fine condition as shrinkwrapped.
