DescriptionNow that here is a an at book published in England of Turner's remarkable early 1950's science fiction cover paintings (the book is available from www.bookpalace.com- I am sharing the 4 cover recreations I have of his that he did later in life . He also did comics including early work on Judge Dredd but my favorite work by him are these incredibly colorful and stylized covers of the early 1950's for some of the worst science fiction novels ever written! (Vargo Statten is John Russell Fearn and on occasionally some of his work would make it into some of the lower quality sci-fi pulps in America.
