Published as fold out poster in "Kirby: King of Comics" by Mark Evanier.

Amazing painted recreation of Jack Kirby's iconic splash in New Gods. Everyone knows how big of a fan Alex Ross is of the King and he did an amazing tribute here. Ross doing Kirby never fails.

I'm not sure if this was every published elsewhere or used as a lithograph/print. Any help would be appreciated.

The back of the board also has a pencil prelim for what looks to be a cover for Astro City? Not totally sure but very cool.

That looks incredible! Agree, Ross doing a Kirby tribute never ceases to amaze from the character work, machinery, crackle, speed/accent lines, and the stunning colors that kick things up a notch. Stunning poster piece, congrats man!

Beautiful meld of Kirby and Ross! It's an odd mix with opposing styles, but Ross makes it work with how much reverence he has for the Fourrth World stories! This is something Ross would have had in one of his sketchbooks. Just too good not to have used it there.

All those speed lines are so beautiful, as they really make you feel the motion as they come blasting forward! The figure work is wonderful, too, still looking like Kirby drew them but looser and more natural feeling. Great color choices as well, making it a very fun piece overall!
