Killer illustration by Kaluta who works his magic in all manner of sci-fi and fantasy. Just like Akira was unleashed to the western audiences at that time, it also unlocked more avenues for great talents to express their artistry. These are works that greeted and welcomed the phenomenon with a response that was just as sophisticated and nuanced.
