Description

Mike Grell drew an amnesiac Krypto in his first Green Arrow story in Action Comics 440 (Little Dog Lost) and 441 (The Mystery of the Wandering Dog)-written by Elliott S. Maggin. I asked Mike to include the arrow in Krypto�s mouth as an homage to that story.

Commissioned at Baltimore Comic Con 2022.

Looks so natural. The ears, cape, and tail signal the speed of his stride and power.

How cool to see a Grell Krypto! The image immediately made me think of that Action 440 story before reading your description. It was that comic that made me a Krypto fan. And a Mike Grell fan with that story being one of his earliest works. I walked to the candy store in Brooklyn with my grandpa and he bought it for me when I begged him for it instead of candy ... my first new comic book! Money was tight for them but they were always generous with us. And he was the coolest and bought me some candy too. I don't remember what candy I got but will always remember and treasure that comic and all within it.
