Yes, 'sequelitis' is real but there are many second films that are as good or even better than the original. From 'The Godfather Part II' to 'Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers' to 'The Empire Strikes Back' -they come from many genres. Then there's Ridley Scott's classic film 'Alien' and James Cameron's electrifying sequel. You can argue which is the better film till your blue in the face, but rest assured, it's right up there with the best of them.
