Lee Moder, originally from Pittsburgh and a graduate of La Roche University, began his comics career at Malibu Comics in 1992. He took over Wonder Woman with writer William Messner-Loebs in 1993, and shortly after penciled Legion of Super‑Heroes in 1994. His art helped shape the 1990s DC house style.
