Description

1999 commission piece by the ultra talented Steve Rude. In coordination with purchasing the "Steve Rude Commissions - 2005" book, I received a "Promotional Print" entitled "Villains." I 've loved the "Villains" piece since that time and jumped at the chance to own the actual artwork in early 2007. It goes without saying that Rude is among the very best in keeping the classic Jack Kirby artwork style alive!

So hard to get a good represenation of villains in one shot because no matter who your feature, there will always be someone's favorite who gets left out. I'm sure Steve could have squeezed a few more characters in here, but I'm glad he opted to do fewer large images than dozens of tiny ones!

Why Steve Rude is not on a monthly book boggles my mind - this gorgeous piece of artwork SCREAMS to be published and for people to be able to see it worldwide
