DescriptionA few months ago, I was able to grab a pair of pages from this one shot, thanks to a solid fellow CAFer. Pages from this issue are rare, especially those from the final fight between Spidey and Wolvie. I was (and still am) absolutely over the moon. Spider-Man vs. Wolverine was one of the first books I damaged from excessive reading, sporting my two favorite characters in a much darker story than I anticipated.Because the OA gods love to amuse themselves, two more pages were previewed on HA shortly after (while my wallet was still recovering). Not just any two pages but the ones depicting the final climatic, shocking, and historic scene. So I put on my big boy pants and did what any crazy art collector has got to do, won both. These two pages show the moment Spidey directly kills an "innocent" bystander with his own hands. There are mitigating circumstances, but it's a canon action that still haunts him to this day. It is a piece of Spider-Man's psyche and an influencing aspect of his character, along with the other tragedies of his past. I love collecting comic art and am thankful for all my pages. But those rare moments, holding a piece of a long-ago memory tied to an emotional reaction, are especially cherished. Social/Sharing |

Attended my buddy Jonathan's wedding a week ago and we were talking about you and these pages (he owned the first two you got). Anyway, congrats on landing another one. Only 60 more pages to go to put the entire issue together. It's gotta be easier than buying a hundred Art Adams pages over forty years. I'm rooting for ya buddy!

Phenomenal bub, I mean James. This one shot was one of my favorites growing up. To have one page would be great, two amazing, three phenomenal, four ??? UNCANNY

That's clearly the most important page of that book.
I like how mundane it looks (that last panel kill being off camera). That's great storytelling.
Nowdays, they would have gone with something much more splashy.

Man, congrats on picking both of these up, in addition to those great battle pages. Yeah, man, Spidey vs Wolvie was a different kind of book. I remember reading, and enjoying it. At least I thought? Was "enjoy" the right word? Definitely made me think a bit. And these scene...yup...part of it. Big congrats, brother!

"Canon event" certainly has a different connotation after the latest Spider-Verse movie, but interesting to hear this is still canon (never been a big Spidey reader). In any case, congrats on getting a set of (pivotal) pages from a book that had so much emotional resonance for you growing up!

That last panel is forever ingrained in Spidey's psyche, and mine!!! Congrats on adding this set of monumental pages to your collection, and thanks for sharing!

I remeber this page very well. It's the climax of the story: Suicide by Spidey!
I would have chased this one if I hadn't already known that you were on it!
