Description

John Byrne added the woman and baby for free as he wanted to work on this commission for me after he had heard what an impact it had on me as a kid. John Byrne had done a lot of commissions and recreations for fans over the years and to make mine unique I had decided to have Bob Sharen add color onto the original art. I know there's a few groans out there and I have since re-assed doing that on other pieces. I now have Bob Sharen add color to print copies on some other expensive commissions I have had done. Live and learn. I had Chris Claremont also sign the art as shown along the bottom when I met him a few years ago at a convention.

Issue 140 was a particularly cool X-Men issue, John did a bang up job on this piece, too cool! CONGRATS!!!

I was looking at this piece today and was surprised that I hadn't commented on it previously, but then I saw it had exactly 140 views and I knew it was the comic universe saying now it the time to comment ; )
