Description

Artwork of the titular high-tech helicopter firing hand-drawn by renowned concept designer and storyboard artist Andrew Probert for the production of Donald P. Bellisario's Airwolf. Airwolf, a supersonic prototype created by the Firm, appeared in every episode of the series, and in the process became among the most recognizable helicopters in television history.

Best known for his work as a production artist for such films as Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Back to the Future, and Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom - including helping to design a revised Enterprise for ST: TMP and the beloved DeLorean time machine from BTTF - Probert created this sketch of a helicopter in mid-air firing its weaponry at an unseen target during pre-production on the series. The artwork is rendered in mixed media on illustration paper, gray-washed, signed by Probert, and dated "080183." The paper exhibits smudging and minor creasing along the edges. Dimensions: 16.5" x 12" (42 cm x 30.25 cm)
