Description

A concept sketch of a Colonial Viper in profile hand-drawn by renowned effects illustrator and designer Joe Johnston for the production of Glen A. Larson's television series Battlestar Galactica. Colonial pilots flew their signature Viper fighters in battles with the Cylons throughout the series.

This illustration depicting a Viper's left side originated from a crew member. Created for the miniature and optical effects unit, it is rendered in graphite and marker and numbered "NG #3,271" on drawing paper. The sketch exhibits creased corners. Dimensions: 12" x 9" (30.5 cm x 23 cm)
