Description

If you've read the description on the Ambrose piece you know that, thanks to my buddy Louie, I had a chance to get (another) Mark Buckingham sketch besides the Rose Red I had set up with Doug (www.comicsketchart.com). I asked for either Ambrose or Stinky. When Louie sent me a picture of Ambrose I was super stoked (look at it! He's so damn cute!), bounced around a little (I know I know) and figured I got super lucky.

A few hours later Louie sents me a picture of this piece with a note along the lines of 'So I got Mark to do a Stinky as well.' Now, I've known Louie for a few years but I've met him like twice. It's not like he had to do this. He doesn't owe me anything and he didn't have to go out of his way to do this. But this is part of what I love about this hobby. Sure there are negative aspects but there always are people who will go out of their way to make something cool happen. Just because. So thanks Louie!

Now to the art. Again, I suppose I could have asked for a Bigby or Snow or any of the 'high profile' characters. Why Brock? Because Brock is probably as big of a Boy Blue fan as I am. When Blue died I was actually shocked. I mean it was coming but I actually really didn't think it would happen. I figured he'd be back as well, this is a comic, cool characters always come back! Or not. I know Brock is a little misguided and a touch obsessed. Heck he created a religion around Boy Blue and his return. But he has his heart in the right place and I just have a soft spot for the character.
