Description

orped-oh no they didn't! Captain America surfs a live torpedo while the Sub-Mariner straddles another, both charging headlong into battle with the original Human Torch blazing alongside! This dynamic image of the Invaders was rendered by one of the Timely era's most prolific artists, Alex Schomburg, renowned for his densely packed World War II covers that often featured these three heroes (alongside sidekicks Bucky and Toro) pummeling exaggerated Axis foes to a patriotic pulp.
