Description

Illustration Original Art (Overstory Media Group, 1979). The Muppets march in perfect sync, smiles fixed, ideals intact. Holmes's satire turns Sesame Street into a felt-lined regime. Cookie Monster leads with crumbs of conformity while Bert goosesteps the subtext in this subversive and strangely unsettling image. Created in ink, white pencil, and graphite over blue pencil on art paper with an image area of 22.5" x 12". Signed by Holmes in the lower right image area.
