This is classic being in the early issues that got us into the series and shaped the genre to usher in the 1970's.

Great BWS example - Conan battling a medusa/serpent monster with a damsel in distress!

Anything from this short but truly epic run is comic art gold. But to get one of the covers? Wow! BWS is, was, and will always be, one of the great Masters of this medium. Congratulations on a spectacular acquisition.

What amazes me is how quickly BWS developed goods style and design from the Strange Tales days to Conan. Congrats on acquiring this grail.

Those early creature-feature covers were all eye-catching, each improving on the next in some form or fashion as Smith went on his artistic journey.

Congrats on an amazing cover, this would be the cornerstone of any collection! I always liked how BWS was competing with himself to improve with each issue.

If I had a daughter, first piece of advice would be "watch out for those Man-Serpants!" Congrats on a historic pick up.

Awesome cover showing the level of detail that BWS's style was evolving into, and would eventually make him one of the greatest comic artists of all time--and based on a classic Robert E Howard story. Incredible piece--congrats!

Stunning! Fabulous composition (I love the way BWS manages to drape some corpses over the coils of the 'Medusa'), great pose and gorgeous inking. Incredible cover!
