Description"Axa: The Gambler"Jul 1980 Axa strips are usually so beautiful. The most sought after ones are the single or double panel strips. This one is specially beautiful because it contents not only Axa with her sword. Also because Mark Ten (MX), the robot, and her loyal friend is there. Superb post-apocalytic scene in this early 80's strip. "Pilgrims! Making for the City of Hope" AXA Social/Sharing |

What great double-panel strips you have from Axa. Unbeatable. It's very beautiful and representative.

The readers of the Sun really wanted to see panels like the first one, with a close-up of Axa. But Romero really shows his incredible artistic panels in the wider space of the second panel. The lines are so beautiful, and he captures so many textures and visual effects in that landscape.

Axa reminds me of Raquel Welch and what a sex symbol she was when I was growing up. Just that level of freedom of her sexuality comes through in these strips.

I don't know a lot about this city other than it was built on Rock And Roll.
