Sanjulian's famous "Ghoul Queen" painting. The figures were set up to represent a chessboard line up of characters. Truly one of the best Sanjulian painting ever!

One of the top two or three Warren covers in my opinion, and from what I've been told, much larger than usual. Great piece.

John. I saw this painting in person. It is absolutely amazing! But, in terms of size, the information about it being larger than usual does not apply to this original painting. Sanjulian did a few gallery-sized paintings a while back of this cover, the Queen of Hearts (Vampi 36), the El Cid cover (Eerie 66) and the Cobra Queen (Vampi 23). Those four galleries were much larger than any of the original printed Warren originals. Throughout the years, there have been many other recreations/versions of many of his better paintings, with some (the Queen of Hearts coming to mind) having quite a few versions/sizes that were done.
