Description

An homage to M.C.Escher's "Relativity", this DC UpperDeck game card illustration measures a whopping 16.5 inches square. This took a while to create, spending several days deciphering Escher's deceptively simple perspective trick. Three different gravities are represented by the three characters.The three planes are three different colors. After adding in all the books and candles, it occurred to me that hanging bells would not only highlight the supernatural atmosphere but also underscore the theme of three. I even signed it in three different places, once for each plane. Can you spot them all? (OK, so it's really hard to see the tiniest one in the corner of the exterior picture of the tower on the wall near Lyta.) Oh yeah, The Phantom Stranger is also looking in on things, just for good measure)
