Description

A marker sketch of Silas Corey, one of Pierre Alary's greatest collaboration series done inside a deluxe edition I acquired recently.

Pierre�s background in animation results in his art being quite lively and even such a simple sketch is full of life and movement.

Silas� pose is particularly realistic as a defense stance which makes for a nice contrast with Alary�s more animated style.

Outlines are done in markers, shadows/colors inside the figure are watercolors.

Wow! YET ANOTHER artist I'm going to thank you for introducing me to, F M... I don't believe I've ever seen his work before, but I -really- love this sketch, which drips with a Fabio Moon-ish flair and style (while being completely different, of course - it's merely the gorgeous fluidity of the confident line that is tipping its hand here, methinks...). What a treasure to open a book up to and discover. I'll need to get some recommendations from you of other Alary works to check out, sir! A beauty!
