DescriptionI got this piece back in 2010 and somehow never posted it. I had been a fan of Thomas Boatwright’s art for a while. When he announced a sale on commissions, I wrote to ask him about a Stallone piece for my collection. Thomas quickly responded and said that he was a fan of “First Blood.” I was surprised at how quickly Thomas finished the piece and that he’d decided to put Richard Crenna’s character in as well. I totally dug everything about it.So… I asked Thomas if he was up for some more Stallone. He said that he was. So I bought two more pieces. This is one of the two. I love his take on Stallone as Jack Carter. Hope you like it as well. Thomas Boatwright used to attend HeroesCon. It was great seeing (and getting a piece of art from him) each year. He moved out west, I believe. Hope he is doing well. Craig Social/Sharing |

I wonder if you've ever thought about getting Stallone movie props from this movie. I got stuff from Creed just because of how much I liked it.

I don't know what prop from the movie I'd want. And I'm sure it wouldn't be in my price range. What did you get from CREED?

For Stallone, the sweatshirt and t shirt he wore briefly in the morning kitchen scene. Not anything iconic, I just wanted something screen worn. It's from this site. The Materialist movie auction is next. It's basically anything they used on set. If the movie made no money, the auction gets pushed up faster. I remember all the fake boxing memorabilia from the walls of Rocky's restaurant and stuff like lanyards/ badges used at ringside were just a few hundred.

That's cool that you own something screen worn!
