Description

I had the idea for a commission featuring all the tragic deaths in DD/Matt's life. Above it all a laughing Mephisto. With an image like that I really couldn't think of a better artist to capture it than Jeremy Bastian.

I guess I was right. :) Jeremy took my idea and ran away with it in his own style. Far more subtle in the depiction of the deaths than I was expecting, but in my opinion it's MUCH better. (I guess that's why I don't draw these things myself!)

I must say that while I haven't heard of Jeremy Bastian before ( I suck, I know ), this commission totally rocks. What an awesome concept!

I like the way the figures (and the universe?) seem to emerge from out of Mephisto's cloak. Great concept and detail!

I have a feeling Jeremy sometimes uses a magnifying glass to get those tiny details right. . . either way, the results are always stunning!
