DescriptionLet me start by saying I am not a fan of CGC. I don't like the fact that it is sealed in this holder and the book cannot be enjoyed by anyone. This is a me preference if someone loves to collect CGC more power to them collect what you love but this is probably a one and done for me.CGC was doing a signature series with Art. I have tried so many times to get something at a con from him but he always books so fast. They only reason I even tried was I had a second copy of this book so I can still enjoy the other one. I didn't want to submit a blank cover because I wanted to submit something that meant something to me. This book is what made me fall in love with the creature. I was always an Art Adams fan ever since the classic x- men cover days and I knew about the creature from old tv reruns but never really paid it much attention. It wasn't until I was in the comic shop and everyone was picking their favorite universal monsters and I didn't have one. A friend knew how much i loved Arts work and asked if I had seen this book. I hadn't but I bought it and took it home read it and was just in awe of the entire book and and the art and story. This book is what made me fall in love with the creature and collect all this creature art. I could not be more Shocked when this book arrived. I was expecting a little doddle remark not this and now with my Arthur head sketch that my friend tony got for me these are my two most prized possessions. I cant thank Arthur enough for the Joy he has brought into my life. Social/Sharing |

I think Arthur went the extra mile with this. Looks like he was having fun too.

Nice one! Full color headshot that's bigger than the head on the Creature on the published cover!

Awesome "remarque". Art really outdid himself on most of these.

Much more than the CGC "remarques". Thanks for telling us your "origin story". And it's good to see you posting art again.

Just a real stunner Frank! Nobody does the Creature quite like Adams. And I agree, slabbed books are the worst thing to hit the industry.
